Cash Award Ceremony Held to Honor Pakistan Volleyball Team’s Silver Medal Achievement in AVC Nations Cup 2025

Lahore:
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) hosted a Cash Award Ceremony today at Gymkhana Club, Lahore, to honor the Pakistan National Senior Men’s Volleyball Team, which proudly won the Silver Medal at the AVC Men’s Nations Cup, held from 17th to 24th June 2025 in Bahrain.

The ceremony was graciously hosted by Mr. Sohail Khawar Mir, President of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation, in recognition of the players’ outstanding performance and dedication to the sport.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of a PKR 1.5 million cash award, presented by Hafiz Shahid NadeemCoordinator to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistanis. Each player and official of the national team was awarded PKR 100,000 in appreciation of their contribution to Pakistan’s remarkable performance on the international stage.

Speaking at the event, Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Chairman of PVF, praised the team’s performance and emphasized the need for continued support to further elevate Pakistan’s standing in global volleyball. He reaffirmed the Federation’s commitment to investing in young talent and strengthening Pakistan’s future in the sport.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including Justice (R) Anwarul Haq Pannu and Justice (R) Safdar Saleem Shahid, who appreciated the discipline, skill, and determination displayed by the team throughout the tournament.

This well-deserved recognition not only boosts the morale of the senior team but also sends a strong message of encouragement to the U16 and U19 teams preparing for their respective international tournaments later this month.

The PVF extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and all dignitaries who continue to support the growth of volleyball in the country.
