National Women Volleyball Championship 2023 started at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad from 06-10 February 2023. Ten teams are participating in the championship. which include WAPDA, Army, HEC, Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad. In the opening ceremony of the championship, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tabasim Afzal Rector Comsets University was the chief guest. Malika Junaid Chairperson Women Development Committee, Pakistan Volleyball Federation special thanks to the teams participating in the championship and the guests of the opening ceremony. Javed Ali Memon Director Sports HEC also attended the opening ceremony and appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Volleyball Federation for the promotion of women volleyball. On behalf of Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Secretary General Pakistan Volleyball Federation Shah Naeem Zafar, Director Admin MB Javed, Director Technical PVF Naseer Ahmed, President AJK Volleyball Association Sardar Muhammad Nawaz, Secretary AJK Sardar Muhammad Farooq, Joint Secretary PVF Dr Shahid Masood and Chaudhry Akram Secretary Islamabad Volleyball Association attended the opening ceremony. In the matches played on the first day 06 February 2023, HEC defeated Balochistan by 3_0, in the second match Sindh defeated Gilgit-Baltistan by 3_0, in the third match Army defeated Punjab by 3_0, in the fourth match Islamabad defeated KPK after an interesting match by 3_1, In the fifth match Higher Education Commission defeated AJK by 3_0, in the sixth match WAPDA defeated GB by 3_0 in a one-sided contest, in the 7th match Sindh defeated Islamabad by 3_0. The tournament will continue till February 10 at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad.

Women National Volleyball Championship 2023 is ongoing at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad. Seven matches were played on the second day of the championship. In the first match, WAPDA defeated KPK 3_0 after a one-sided contest. In the second match, Army easily defeated Balochistan by 3_0. In the third match, Punjab gave a tough time to HEC but HEC won the match 3_0. In the fourth match, Islamabad defeated Gilgit-Baltistan easily by 3-0. In the fifth match, Sindh played the best game and won the third consecutive match against KPK by 3_0. In the sixth match, Army beat EJK by 3_0 after a one-sided contest. While the seventh and last match was very interesting, Punjab defeated Balochistan by 3_1 after a great competition. Tomorrow six matches will be played while the final will be held on February 10. Fans are thronging the Liaquat Gymnasium in large numbers to support the women and are appreciating this step by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation.

Women’s National Volleyball Championship semi-final line-up complete. WAPDA Army Sindh and Higher Education Commission have qualified in the semi-finals of the ongoing Women National Volleyball Championship 1st match between Wapda Vs HEC and 2nd match between Army and Sindh at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad. President of Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed was also present at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium. He appreciated the performance of players of all participating teams. Six matches were played on the third day. In the first match, Balochistan defeated AJK by 3_0. In the second match, KPK defeated Gilgit-Baltistan by 3_1 after an interesting match. In the third match, WAPDA easily defeated Sindh in the fourth match. Army defeated HEC by 3_0 In the fifth match, after a one-sided contest, Punjab won by 3_0 against AJK. In the sixth and final match, WAPDA easily defeated Islamabad by 3_0. Large number of fans supporting the women championship and appreciating step by sety by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation.

Women National Volleyball Championship 2023 WAPDA and Army have qualified for the finals. The semi finals were played today at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium Pakistan Sports Board Islamabad. In the first semi-final, WAPDA defeated HEC by 3_0 and WAPDA qualified for final. In the second semi-final, Army qualified for the final by defeating Sindh after a one-sided contest by 3_0. The 3rd position Match will play Sindh Vs HEC 9:30 Am and final match will be played WAPDA Vs Army tomorrow at 11:30 am In the semi-final matches, Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob President Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed Seneter Khosbhat Shujaat Malika Junaid Chairperson Women Volleyball Development Committee Pakistan Volleyball Federation Javed Ali Memon Rector Comset University Irfan Shiraz Deputy Director HEC Sardar Mohammad Nawaz President AJK Volleyball Association Shah Naeem Zafar Secretary General Pakistan Volleyball Federation MB Javed Director Admin Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Naseer Ahmad Director Technical Pakistan Volleyball Federation Sardar Muhammad Farooq Secretary AJK Volleyball Association Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Secretary Islamabad Volleyball Association participated as a special guest.

Pakistan WAPDA won the National Women’s Volleyball Championship once again by 3-1 score are 24-26, 25-18, 25-14, 25-20.In the final match played at Liaquat Sports Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Board, Islamabad, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Senator Khushbakht Shujaat, Chairman of Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, President of Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed, Chairperson, Women’s Volleyball Development Committee, PVF Malika Junaid and Madam Madiha from Interwood attended as a special guest. The final match was fiercely contested, the first set was won by Army while the next three sets were won by WAPDA after fierce competition. Madam Shiza Fatima said that It was very enjoyable to see the women playing volleyball . And happy to see that women are now coming forward in volleyball, she said that new talent will be brought out under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program so that women along with men will perform well in the field of sports. . Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqub thanked all the sponsors and congratulated the WAPDA team. He said that it is hoped that just as the men’s volleyball team is performing well, the women’s team will also perform well in international competitions in the near future and our dream of qualifying for the Olympics will be fulfilled soon. Chairperson Women Volleyball Development Committee PVF Madam Malika Junaid thanked all the sponsoring teams and guests and said that they will organize women volleyball events in the future as well, which will improve the game of women volleyball players of Pakistan. . HEC defeated Sindh by 3-0 score are 25-18, 25-10, 25,15 in the third position match got the third position.
