Pakistan U18 National Volleyball Team Departs for 16th Asian Boys’ U18 Volleyball Championship 2026 in China
Lahore, Pakistan – 10 July 2026: The Pakistan U18 National Volleyball Team departed yesterday for Haikou, China, to participate in the 16th Asian Boys’ U18 Volleyball Championship, which will be held from 12 to 18 July 2026.
The prestigious continental championship will bring together 16 of Asia’s strongest volleyball nations, providing an excellent platform for Pakistan’s young athletes to compete at the highest level and continue the country’s remarkable rise in Asian volleyball.

Pakistan enters the championship with high confidence after making history by winning the 2nd Asian U16 Volleyball Championship 2025, becoming the first Pakistani team to capture an Asian age-group volleyball title. The Federation believes the current U18 squad possesses the talent and determination to continue this successful journey on the continental stage.

President Pakistan Volleyball Federation, Sohail Khawar Mir, expressed complete confidence in the young squad and encouraged them to seize the opportunity to represent Pakistan with honour.
He remarked:

He further added:
“Pakistan volleyball has entered a new era of excellence. Our recent achievements have earned us respect across Asia, and now it is your responsibility to carry that legacy forward. Every point you score and every match you play is an opportunity to inspire millions of young Pakistanis. Play with passion, discipline, and confidence. The prayers and support of the entire nation are with you.”
Pakistan’s Vision for the Future
The Pakistan Volleyball Federation has undertaken comprehensive preparations for the championship through intensive training camps, international coaching support, modern sports science, and high-performance planning.
The Federation believes participation in the Asian U18 Championship will further strengthen the development pathway for Pakistan’s future national team players and prepare them for senior international competitions, including the Asian Games and future FIVB World Championships.
